Sette note in sette notti (7 notes for 7 nights) is the answer: the meeting is at Santa Maria della Scala from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm, a nice way to spend your relaxing evenings in Siena. Each night will be different, each time you can discover oddities about the town and taste the local excellences like DOCG wines and the best gastronomical products, finally a live performance will celebrate the charm of the night with jazz and classical sounds.
The festival started last 7th November so we recommend you the next events which will take place every Thursday until 19th December, the topics are “Stories of Sorore between Church and Pellegrinaio” on 14th November, with tasting of the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano and the concert of classical music (compositions by Guastavino, Chopin, Debussy, Kachaturian, Scriabin).
The next meetings are scheduled on 21st with the jazz concert by B Flat Quintet and a Chianti Classico tasting, on 28th the topic will be the ancient music played during the last centuries, when the Santa Maria della Scala was an hospital (in 1995 was redesigned as a museum), and the protagonist of enogastronomy will be the Noble Wine of Montepulciano.
On 5th December the guided tour will be about the narration by paintings, pictures and music, to enjoy with a jazz live set and a sip of Brunello di Montalcino, on 12th December the evening will be focused on Senese sweets: Ricciarelli (biscuits with almond and honey) and Vin Santo, with a live performance of musicians that will play masterpieces by Bach, Telemann, Granados and Villa-Lobos.
The last evening, on 19th, it will be dedicated to another icon of Siena, the Panforte, and the concert by Jazz Bond Quartet with Tobia Bondesan (tenor sax), Giovanni Ghizzani (keyboards), Michele Bondesan (double bass), Dario Pagani (drums), a great event for music lovers and gourmets!
