Signs of history in Siena alleys

This season is suitable to join guided tours in the heart of Siena, because there is less crowding, more time to do sightseeing and visit churches, and you can join theatrical performances that tell the legends of Siena.
During December the Touristic Guide Center plans very charming itineraries that you can reserve: the next will be on Sunday 9th at 5:00 pm in Piazza Matteotti next to Galleria Metropolitan, where will start the route through the Dragon Contrada discovering Pia de’ Tolomei.Pia was a Senese lady quoted by Dante in Purgatory, that was murdered to allow his husband the wedding with another woman; the guided tour is based on theatre lyrics by Rita Ceccarelli with Martina Guideri and Simona Parravicini, thanks to their performance you can know more about this mysterious story.
On Sunday 15th December there will be the next itinerary, that will show the works by Partini, Duprè, Sarrocchi, Aldi e Bandini, that represent the Senese school of the second half of XIX century.
