Il Kiosco di Milkone
Usually you can find street food at the kiosks on the street, so it is worth mentioning the Kiosco di Milkone at Via Massetana Romana, where to eat sandwiches filled with local specialties such as Tuscan cured meats, finocchiona, capocollo, pork, buristo, soppressata, Tuscan cheeses, Sienese tripe, but also burgers, sausages, hot dogs or anchovies. The chef Milko Ciolfi personally prepares sandwiches and fried fish and is a landmark for those who want to enjoy healthy and tasty products without going to the restaurant.

Gino Cacino di Angelo
The grocery Gino Cacino di Angelo is the best known spot by the Sienese who love street food.
The menu is characterized by food and wine pairing. Sandwiches, cheese, meat and vegetables are always recommended in combination with a Tuscan wine. For example, here you can eat the sandwich with the “pork elixir” (a secret recipe that uses pork fat and spices) and anchovies in pesto sauce with Sienese tarragon. Gino Cacino is located at Piazza Mercato 31, a short distance from Piazza del Campo.

Il Capperino
Il Capperino, located at Via della Sapienza 16, offers take away service and is a very popular grocery in town for the Sienese tripe cooked by the chef Gino Verza. Here you can eat freshly meals prepared daily, sandwiches and drink a glass of wine, or buy local products to take home such as olive oil, pasta, cured meats and cheeses.
Salumeria il Cencio
In the heart of Piazza del Campo there is one of the most liked spots by foodies: the Salumeria Il Cencio. The best delicacies here are cured meats, cheeses from the Val d’Orcia, peppers, zucchini, dried tomatoes and much more. In addition to tasty sandwiches you can order cold cuts and cheeses and have a nice lunch on the terrace overlooking the most famous square of Siena.
In particular, we recommend the sandwich with loin and cheese.
Il Bandierino
Il Bandierino is a restaurant but we put on this list because it offers some street food specialties. It is situated in Piazza del Campo from thirty years and offers classic menus with all the most famous dishes of the Sienese cuisine.
Alongside the delicacies that every tourist should taste, here you can eat the ciaccino, the typical street food in town. It is a focaccia (a kind of bread), you can fill it with ham, salami and capocollo, but it is delicious even without dripping.
