Wandering around Siena with first-rate chefs

Gastronomy is an art, as the wonderful monuments and the romantic locations of Tuscany. In Siena, among the itineraries that we suggest you, there is the tenth edition of Girogustando festival, dedicated to the Italian flavors.
Confesercenti Siena is the promoter of the event, that consists of special menus, every time in a different Senese restaurant, with a guest chef from another region. So the menus are always different and combine local specialties and delicacies prepared by the guest chef, with a selection of wines served by sommeliers and presented by the wine producers.
During the events there will be music and theatre shows and an exhibition of paintings by 12 different artists, that brighten up the evening. Join Girogustando is very easy: you can book the event that you prefer from the 2011 calendar, the cost of menu changes from 35 to 40 euros.
Girogustando is a travel in first-rate Italian gastronomy and gives you the possibility to know two cooking traditions and to recognize the distinctive feature of local specialties. The first meeting will be on 10th February at restaurant La Buca di San Pietro, in Siena, that will guests a chef from Il Cacciucco, in Isola d’Elba: a duet for gourmets that won’t have victims but new fan of Italy flavors.
